Default Re: Fred Gibb Show '09

I had the pleasure to spend some time with a REAL '64 Hemi lightweight survivor a few years ago and those cars are amazing! The '64 Hemi cars even had lightweight aluminum doors that are just insanely light when you open and shut them. These cars are extremely fragile and were only intended to last a season or two and the fact that ANY of them survive 45 years later is simply incredible! Tears in the aluminum are common and elbow dents in the tops of the fenders from even changing spark plugs is to be expected. As neat as these aluminum front end cars are, like these early Hemi's, Z-11 Impalas, and Super Duty Catalinas, they really have to be nerve-racking and frustating to actually own!
