Default Re: Is the Z28 on the chopping block again?

Lutz retired. The CTSV engine in a Camaro would be absolute killer. The ZR1 engine like I have in my 69 is about the same engine but with a bigger blower. Go test drive a CTSV and imagine that engine in a Camaro... Then imagine pumping it up a little thru the aftermarket. My LS9 is the best engine I have owned. Amazingly smooth usable power. In fact if the Z28 did come out with the CTSV blown engine I think a ZR1 engine would be a no brainer for a transplant.

-----Charlie,,,Just read yesterday that Lutz is sticking around for a while longer. Probably needs money for fuel for his jet fighter. .......Bill S

Lutz is in charge of sales and marketing now, not design. That does not bode well for stuff that appeals to car guys, ie: Z/28, CTSV.

I know and respect what a CTS-V is. They are great cars. Just not into dropping a CTS-V motor in a Camaro and calling it a Z28.

There was alot more that was going into the Z28 than just the CTSV engine. It was a entire balanced package.

Lutz is one of two things, a complete idiot that has not paid any attention to what GM customers have been asking for or has surrounded himself with a group of advisors that are as equally stupid, either way they constantly make the wrong choices. guy needs a swift kick to the twins
