A trick I was taught is use a green primer then Argent Silver, gives it a little bit of a green tint. I get the primer at Checker not at home right now so not sure of the brand.

A few years ago,we bought a '72 Lemans Sport that needed restoration. It was a pale green. Turns out that the car had been painted its original silver several years before. The paint had gone green over time. Any chance that this has what has happened with the wheels. We have garage doors ready for paint. They were originally dark green. Over time, they have gone to a blue green. Sun, and weather do have their effects. I'm no paint expert, so I don't really know what is going on there.
