I heard that Mr. Ed was not being truthful in the article and that the dealership will infact bite the dust soon. I personally could not see how they would have made the cut with the extreme lack of sales that they have in their new vehicle sales.

I drove by Crossroads today, it is nearly closed up. The signs were down and a sign company employee was smashing them into pieces. The lot is almost empty. No cars in the service area.

Crossroads aka Krumpholz Chev-Buick,was on Chevrolet's "SAVE" list when the economy first started to slip from the very beginning..but when GM filled for bankruptcy later on,they and one other nearby dealership were told all bets were off. They stayed a float for awhile on their own,and actually showed a profit..but the stress was building & the numbers just weren't coming in anymore.
Too bad,as Ed & his brother are getting out of the new car selling business altogether now.He said they'll service vehicles there for the time being, but not much longer.

His wife just came through a sucessful bout with cancer,so he is looking at life a lil differently today, and rightly so.
Thanks for all you've done for the business/hobby Ed.
Rick
