These were wet/electrolyte reproduction Delco licensed R-59 E-5000 2900 watts @ 0° top post Batterys that I cut the bottoms out of and removed all the guts inside. The side walls are full of Delco-eyes and a dead on match to the original. Each one has been neutralized with baking soda.
This would make a nice display in a correct stock car, that is carrying an incorrect battery,or drag racers can insert a smaller cell battery inside to save on weight while participating in a stock appearing drag race as well. I have two avaialbe, that I did myself. I highlighted the DELCO Energizer script & caps on each with the correct orange shade too.If desired this color can be wiped off the wording with paint thinner. One specific battery shell has a small piece of plastic missing from the top back corner that will not be seen as much,as it's at the area where the fender towers over it in the back by the - terminal. It also has two small fracture lines on the top,one near the - terminal, the other inbetween the word DELCO.The other one is nearly flawless. These are both true to the original design & very nice. Each one comes with a money/shipping back gaurantee if not as stated. Each battery weighs just 6 lbs. and measures 10-1/8" Across X 7-15/16" High X 6-3/4" Deep. Each have no bottom. $100 EACH + shipping. Rick [email protected] |

These two are sold,Thank You Rob.
I will have 3 more done at the end of this Month and relist them here. Thanks Dennis,I mixed the paint myself. No one does that color justice anymore, not even the reproduction houses,as far as I found..It took me three weeks to mix that correct DELCO orange color by mixing 5 different shades together.Trial and error won out until I hit the proper colors & ratio. It was never a gloss shade either,as so many mistakenly think.. ![]() Thank You to all who inquired. |
