Are the "L" rockers not what the L72 and L78 came with?

I just double checked and our original rockers on our 427 engine are the "L" rockers as are the rockers on our L78 that I just set this past week. I guess the old brain cells are still working.

Im puzzled on this one..its like the z/28 0 rockers...they were small 0..large 0..sideways 0..but..the original gm parts book says 65 to 70 hi-perf big block stamped with a H on the tip...Ive taken apart too many original big blocks to count and found both rockers..I thought the L was a newer issue..

I know the rockers are original on our 427 as I bought the car new. Can't say the same for the L78, with a dozen previous owners. However both have the "L" rockers, for what it's worth.
