according to the HMN blog, the IRS sale was stopped:
"June 23, 2009 at 12:38 pm Just so you all know, the sale was stopped by court order. It is hard to seize and sell a car the tax payer does not and has never owned. We will see what the outcome is in court."

The one at the Mecum auction is probably mine? It never sold at the Mecum auction and I bought it with Colin's help several months later from Dana. It is now being re-restored properly by Midwest Muscle car at a considerable and never ending expense. Dana bought it at BJ along with another Daytona from Bill Wieman

OF course, that just means they'll be more interested in finding something else they can attach themselves to. ![]() |
