Centerforce dual friction is all I use.

I had the dual friction in my 91 Iroc and I did not like it. It did not hold as well I thought it would. The pedal feel was nice though although it was a hydraulic clutch.

How about a Hayes, Zoom etc.? I always ran the stock chevy pressure plate with the L88 disc about 50 years ago. Does those set-ups still work?

Yes, I use the Hays street/strip set up. Clutch pedal is like stock, holds ZL-1 with M/T ET Streets.

another vote for hays. I have a 510 hp / 500 ft lb 406 in my 67 and the hays holds up to it just fine. the pedal isn't hard to push either, so no sore left leg.

Thanks for all the information. I am leaning towards Hays but also getting more information on McLeod.

I took the car out for the first time and drove it around town. The Hays Street/Strip clutch setup I bought works great. Pedal pressure is decent and it seems to grab well.
Thanks for the recommendations. ![]() Kurt
