Chris and James, that -67 Chevelle is a Nordic model that was built in Canada, as can be seen on the firewall which is bodycolor. As for the -65 SS trim, I can´t remember the exact reason why they used it. But since they used the L-6 as the base engine (which was also used in the SS Impalas) mabye they wanted it to look different than the US-built/sold cars ? I didn´t scan the whole article and now I can´t find the magazine, so I´m not sure why.
The Canada-built blue car has a blue firewall and the US-built om the right has a black firewall. This blue Nordic SS doesn´t have the base L-6 but rather the upscale 195 hp 283
.
I´m not sure if the car in the article is the same as in my pic, but I think so.
Did I mention that all 1967 Chevrolets sold in Sweden by GM Nordiska AB were equipped with disc-brakes ? At least according to ads in the newspapers.
