Default Original 1969 big block motor mount components

Take a look at this topic over on the CRG regarding the
odd original setup for big block motor mounts.

I have the stop bracket and long bolt - robbed it from a 69 Impala I owned. Never seen one before or since, until today!

Would that set-up be something that was put into production after they started seeing the broken motor mounts, and were adding the stop lift cables?

Rick,

I believe this assembly was what was "originally" put into
production for the SHP engines. The cables came after these
motor mounts were phased out and the next style motor mount
came into production.

Some of the components I posted images of came from an L/78
'69 Chevelle. Now we find that an Impala had the same setup
as well. I don't remember seeing these back in the day, but
I know some of you do remember. Hope you guys chime-in.....

I'm amazed that I never see these components on ebay at all.
I did see the locking plate one time about 2 years ago.

I'd like to see images of the locking plate showing the part number.
My plate doesn't have a part number stamped on it. Perhaps none did.

Nuch
