Here's how I see it Tom.
C=Powerglide Trans.,from their Cleveland,Ohio plant.
9=Model Year.1969
D=Month,April
11=Day,11th
D=Probably a redundant designation for April again.

You're right.I forgot he has a 69 production model,not a 70.
I had 70 on the brain.
I've always believed they stopped denoting D-Day/N-Night shifts on these beginning with the 1970 production models..
