Chris Piscitello's 1967 L78 Camaro "The BATCAR"!!!

The first pic of the car with the "Batcar" painted on it was taken at Kil Kare Dragway in Xenia, OH.

If you look at the tower you can make out the name.
The last pic of the car racing was taken at National Trails Raceway in Kirkersville, OH. Both tracks are still there and racing.
Maxton Chevrolet is still in existance, and is still selling hi-performance Chevys. They sold 5 COPO Camaros in '69, all of them still inexistance, one owned by a member here.
I have posted pics of Maxtons Friday night cruis-ins many times in the lounge.

The car you are referring to was Lance Hill's BB Canadian Pace Car...Pretty cool to see Chris's Bat Car and Lance Hill's Drag Pacer together in the same photo...It believe it was also an L78

Would have been very cool to see those two square off

Have done a little research into the Lance Hill car as I was interested in learning more about it as reported to be an L78. Turns out the car was originally a factory TH400 L35 325hp 396 car according to Lance himself according to a researchers information on the Pace Car site. That in itself is somewhat disappointing as it means it will never be added to the registry as an L78 but it is not all there is to it. Turns out the car is a Canadian version of the Pace Car made for the MOSPORT GP and sold there then purchased by Hill to be converted into a race car in 1970. Could write an entire thread on that one to but this is all about the BATCAR.
