On my way back from WPAFB last week I laid over in Chicago and drove 'cross Illinois to Donahue and took a peek at the Deuce. Beautiful day with ominous wx on the horizon. Met up with Schonye and Kevin (mechanic) and took an up close look-see at the Deuce. Joe was squirtin' Alan Foreman's HO Nova so I missed him.

and !!! She looks very fine. The photos are a mere tease. Here is proof she is running...

High idle!

Schonye said the tach's red dial indicator had something to do with the break-in process...

WW Sam!!!

It's great seeing the progress and details of this lucky Deuce also how this whole Cinderella story has unfolded since the Roofs first dropped into our little corner of automotive cyberspace..

BUT...and sorry to toss any negatives around here but considering the new posting rules, has anyone else wondered what the outcome would be if today was the first time the Roofs and their Deuce dropped by also what other great people and their cars we may now end up missing as a result?.

Paint and finish on the Deuce are stunning. Wayne Bushey (Nova Nationals Pres) visited in the a.m. before I got there and really liked the accuracy of the F. Blue that Justbad Joe mixed and requested the formula. Nice job Joe!!

Nice signature block Mike ! Joe nailed the paint colors here too. Look just right. The original caps and Yenko stickers cleaned up real nice. Roofs took these off not too long after buying the Deuce (ran Ansen Sprints) and they weathered their storage well...
