Whether you purchase the Rubber Mat from Legendary or ACC they are all made from the same plant.

Mark, it wasn't fun to say the least. I had my cousin, 2 heat guns, sharp knives and a small electric heater in the car to keep the mat warm.

A few people gave me advise and that did help.

Yes the mat is from ACC.

Jim, I had them and took them off. They rode like crap! I wanted to leave them on but everyone told me that if I started taking it to the track that they would tear things up and that the stock suspension will work fine with a little tweaking.

So far I have put HD springs with air bags. It's working pretty good. Next is to put the boxed upper and lower control arms in with new bushings that I made.

For those that aren't on some of the other sites I'm on, I pulled the motor out of the Chevelle last Sunday and during the week slowly pulled it apart except the crank, rods and cam.

I found out that the motor has .060 over 12.5:1 pistons with 840 closed chamber heads. Now I understand why it ran better with a 104/93 fuel mix.

The crank is cast iron with standard rods. I have a couple 6223 cranks but probably will be looking for a different set of rods.

I'm still on the fence of building this motor or taking the 512 2-bolt main block I have and building a 427.
