1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 2dr. HT (brown/cream 2 tone color scheme)

Girlfriend's dad owned a car repair business and serviced a car that was owned by a older lady that was retiring from teaching. This lady told my girlfriend's dad she was retiring and going to sell her car. I was made aware of this and went over to look at the car in her garage. Fell in love with it, offered $250 and it became mine. Original one owner car that still had plastic on the seatcovers. This was back in the late 60s. A "barn find" before the word was ever created. Wasn't long before chrome rims had to be purchased ...

Ok I'm a little late to this party...
Mine was a 69 Camaro I bought the day after I got my driver's license back in the summer 1994. I worked my happy hinder off that entire summer to buy the car. After over 14 years I'm glad to say I still got it! car pic

First car I owned was a 1969 Camaro Z28; I never drove the car as I got impatient and sold it. Second car; another one I never drove was a 1969 Camaro RS.
First car that I owned and actually drove for a few years was a Forrest Green 1970 Z28 automatic car; wish I had never sold that one.

64 Fairlane Sports Coupe, 289 Ford-o-matic trans. Originally a 260 car thats why the 2 speed trans was in there.

1969 Chevy Impala, 2 door,327/ 4 bbl-powerglide and ice cold A/C.

Installed dual exhaust. Boy was that thing a chick magnet....NOT!!!!

I bought it from the original owner with 60K or so miles. It took me over a week, to clean the interior trim from the nicotine stains. The trim looked like it had yellow trim, instead of chrome from all of the smoking.

Looked pretty good once I finished with it. Drove it for over a year and sold it for more than I paid. Great cruiser!

Went to the drive-in and snuck 4 buddies in the trunk, along with six other people inside. The car was basically bottomed out and I still remember the noise of the car scaping when I drove over a small bump.

I've got picture somewhere, just need to dig them up.

Elon
