Nice pictures of the funny car! What condition is the car in currently?? One of the pics looks pretty recent. If so, it survived in fairy goosd condition The Chevy dealer on Sunrise Highway in Freeport was Majestic Chevrolet. The building is still there, but it's now Paul Conte Cadillac. I remember the Brat from the 80's at the Nassau Coluseum car shows. I always wondered what happened to it. The custom Corvette looks eerily similar to a Corvette that was owned by a local business owner in my town. He has a large poster of it in his shop. I spoke to him about it last time I was there. Said it was a big block car. He grew up in Valley Stream. He described all the changes he made to it. Its gotta be his! Its identical [/ QUOTE ] Thank you for that information. The car has been semi-restored as shown in the first 2 pictures I posted, current owner is still gathering the parts to make it correct and runable.

I hop he doesnt change that paint job! Looks like the original paint on it. It has a nice patina to it. I spoke to Ralph about the car a while back. Nice guy. He took the time out to talk to me about the build up. I sure wish I had found it. I hope it will make an appearance at one of the Buick events one day soon

I sure wish I had found it... [/ QUOTE ] That's my thinking too...wish I had it. Talked to the owner again today,he was surprised to hear it ran as quick as a 7.79 @ 191,he had only heard it went 179+. The car had a full-cage in it so it could race in nostalgia competition and had some funky paint job on it,I also learned it had some slight body damage which was slight and could have happen loading it on the trailer. Otherwise, car looks pretty much the way I remember it. Dad built the custom front mag-driven timing cover and of course fabbed an offy mainfold to accept the 8:71 blower. I am learning more about this car everyday and the good thing is dad is still with us to revel in it as well. ![]() He has spoken to Ron Pelligrini (of Fiberglass Trends fame) and besides his "Super Bird" Skylark, this is the only known '67 Buick fliptop body to exist even though there were believed to be 3 made. If you look at the pictures of his car,it sits way high and doesn't have nearly the stance this one did. He is scanning all the pictures he has managed to collect from Coney Island Ralph and others and will send them to me...I'll post those when I receive them.
