The 2nd owner who put the X-Ram on in 1981 told me he was using R43 plugs before he went to the hotter R45 and the car would not pull itself up a small hill.

Neither of the original chambered exhaust systems we've had had backfiring troubles...the only problem I had with the chambered setup was that it's HORRIBLY restrictive.
