I remember a gold COPO Camaro.I can't remeber whether the interior was geen or matching gold.I have no idea what dealer it came from but I do remember seeing it for sale in a used car lot at Danforth and Warden.I also knew a guy with a dark green COPO Chevelle who ran it at the track often and it had a cage in it.I was in the basement of Belmont once and Dave Mackay started a L78 Chevelle up for me that had factory chambered pipes on it.Man.What a sound.

My buddy, who bought the orange COPO Chevelle from Beare's, had them install '69 Corvette side pipes on the car. He had enough of the noise after a month or so. The steady noise on the highway would drive even a young person insane after a while. Beare Motors sold a blue L88 Vette in '69. When I dropped in to the dealership, the salesman took me out back and fired the car up to let me hear it. What a sound.

Chevelleless after 46 years......but we did find a low mileage, six speed, silver 2005 Corvette. It will just have to do for now.
