Default Re: wtb: 69 z28 solid lifters

You don't want to use "used" lifters on anything but the cam they cam off of, and the lobe they came off of. Order of reliable break in use: 1. used cam-original used lifters on original lobes; 2. new cam-new lifters, 3. used cam-new lifters (have the used cam re-parkerized for about $20. parkerizing is a lubricant-rust preventive and would help in breaking in the new lifters). GM lifters match the hardness of GM cams and are the best for restoration motors. I never had a flat lobe using GM lifters, no matter what oil and zinc is used.
