Hmm, second one in two years!

This one sold for $825K at auction in found condition; sellers were expecting $300 - $400K.

The latest car at the top of the thread is a 57S, the two tone car was a 57C. Both cars are Atalante models. The 57S is a factory supercharged car 1 of 17 built and is still not the top dog in Bugatti circles.

In the Bugatti world it's kinda like comparing the following:

57C = 307 Camaro
57S = L89 396 Camaro
57SC = ZL1 427 Camaro

There were only three SC cars built.

Thin air for sure, it will be interesting to see what the car brings in this economy.

There's always buyers ready to go when rare stuff goes to auction, especially up in the thin air.

I thought the auction listing said the supercharger was added later, and, it's not a factory "S" car. Doesn't that make a big difference?

Apparently the car was never really lost. Some in the know knew where the car was but were not at liberty to say.
