Looks good to me. But I have been fooled before. If you can find out if the date is valid or not is the key.

The "5" stamp looks to be tipped to the right quite a bit. I'm no expert though. Does look pretty deep compared to mine.
The location is some what different too. The parting line on the shaft of the casting doesn't look like mine either. Could be different moulds though. GM had more than one machine making most parts.

I purchased this from EBAY from a well known corvette guy, looks very good to me but you never know, would not think twice if I picked this up at a swap meet for $20 like I did with my 480 dist. ...here are a few more shots.

funny , i was just coming here to ask if ANOTHER was real .
area of housing that gets stamped 80% machine turned 20 cast finish? I'm not expert but didn't look right to me ! seller on ebay claims that "some" came this way. I just want to know for future referance (someone hit " buy it now " for $750)
