They "plugged in" at the track, I believe...think they said like a 1/2 hour or more charge for 1 run?
That video is a perfect example of efficiency at the drag strip...an abnormally low MPH considering the ET...considering how lite the car is, I'd say he'd be *darn lucky* to see the 300hp he mentions, which normally wouldn't get a car into the 12s, much less the 11s. The advantage with the electric motor is that it's @ full torque immediately, versus the parabola of a piston engine...basically it's just on or off! Bet he sees a LOT of cars fly by him just past the traps with that unusually low of a trap speed... |
