I had a conversation with Bill Thomas III, the other day. He mentioned that his Father's main responsibility was to get the Mark IV Big Block as competitive as could be and in the hands of as many racers as possible.
This was the main Motivation behind building "Novacaine". GM was pumping Hi-Performance Covertly with Guys like, Grumpy, Smokey, Ronnie Kaplan and Bill Thomas.. etc...
