I am on a old laptop on vac...what video format changed at youtube?? ....Dang thing wont play just pops up a black screen........HELP

Charlie, how about a quick run down on what you did in preparation for the fire up. Did you pull the distributor and prime the pump? Drain the tank, change the oil etc.?

Gary. I had pulled the plugs, squirted motor oil in each cylinder and let it sit for a couple days, turned with torque wrench on the crank and tapped the starter. The dist will not com out so there was no way to prime it that way. Squirted more oil in cylinders and cranked it over with the plugs out. Oil pressure light went out right away. Put 3 gallons of race gas in the tank. Had to file the points to get spark, pour gas in the carb to make it fire. When it fired yesterday there was gas leaking out of the carb from shrunken gaskets.

When I pulled the float bowls off they were absolutely clean inside. Whole carb was clean. Just shrunken gaskets.
