Congratulations on the purchase. It seems the seller did his research prior to pulling the sales trigger. This is a museum piece. Thanks for sharing this and posting all the pics.

The abundance of Ziebart.... Was this a normal practice? all that overspray?

Wow, the chrome Camaro on the glovebox is still there. What a great find and it's good to see a car like this come out and be seen. This is simply amazing that it's a z/28. Usually cars like this end up being a 6 cylinder plain jane which would be cool too. Congrats on the purchase and thanks for sharing.

Yes it was. They could trash the engine compartment on a new vehicle. And it only delayed the total destruction of a new car that was winter driven here in the rust belt.

Was it indeed Ziebart that actually applied the undercoating?..I don't see any signs of their trademark yellow Ziebart plugs in the jamb areas.
If not them, did F-T undercoat it and what was the charge?

I only found a few local listings here for residences by the similar spelling name of Yosell. Not a Doris past or present in any of them..and none of them MIA Mike.

I wonder if Doris knows she is being stalked on the internet by strange men-for a door ding that happened so long ago. She has the potential to be a superstar on this site, maybe her own kissing booth at Vette Fest.

Incredible car, you couldn't make this up- no one would believe you.

My car (LA built) is also heavily undercoated. I don't think it was Ziebart either. Perhaps they sprayed them all that were heading to the midwest?
