[ QUOTE ]
I am in the market to purchase some reproduction tires for a 65 Corvette I have. Has anyone had a bad experience with "new" reproduction tires. I do drive my cars but I am a purist about appearance. Thanks, Tim [/ QUOTE ] You will NOT be happy with reproduction bias-ply tires if you enjoy driving your car; if you must have "correct" bias-ply tires, your best bet are the Goodyear-licensed Power Cushion 7.75-15's from Kelsey Tire. Radials are FAR better driving tires; 205/75-15 is the standard replacement size and won't interfere with the fenders. 215/70-15's are a little wider, but you risk interference at full steering lock and suspension compression like at driveway entries. Midyears are VERY intolerant of "wide tires". ![]()
