I got clubbed in the back of the head while trying to cross the parking lot back to my motel. I turned to look at him and the veins were popping out of his neck. He was holding his German Sheppard with one hand and had his club raised in the other. He said, "just try something, PLEASE just try something". I kept my hands in my pockets to avoid possible provocation and they made me run the rest of the way back. Left the next morning for home. I figured it might not get any "better" than that and I didn't want to stay around to see if it got worse. Never attended another one.

I would have rather had to change a cam in the parking lot. That would have been a LOT more fun.

That must have been 1980 in Indy. I have the photos of the Indiana State Troopers walking down the median carrying 4-foot long billy clubs. (I'm not exagerating here, they were literally skinny Louisville sluggers). That was the year I brought my orange Superbird.

Verne, Do you recall seeing a couple of scrawny teenagers sitting on a Superbird wing drinkin' beer? We thought we were oh so cool.
