That is what is left of the (I think) the GEORGE BANCROFT (SSBN 643)
BALLISTIC MISSILE SUBMARINE (NUCLEAR-POWERED SUBMARINE.
The Sail was removed and donated in 1998-99 during the recyling and disposal of the boat at PSNS (Puget Sound Naval Shipyard- Bremerton, WA)
We Cut em UP! and make Razor blades out of them!
It is always strange to see the SAIL structure being sent out of town on a rail flat car for location unknown,,,

It is neat to see the the display to those who seved in the SILENT SERVICE- Thanks.
