Most of these pot metal castings have that familiar rough border that a rechrome will destroy......duplicating a repop unit.

Value really depends on if they are originally from a Malibu or an SS. Nearly every part I see for sale from the 60's-early 70's seems to have come from an SS and commands staggering amounts of funds.

Not different on 69 Malibu or SS taillight bezel
Same part.

You may be thinking of the front turn signal lenses as they are different.

No, it's how parts are advertised and the description always includes they are from an SS even if 90% of the parts came off a Malibu. Seems sellers think they can get more from un-educated buyers and it still happens far too often.
