WOULD YOU SPEND .10 CENTS TO MAKE 10 DOLLARS??
That copo car you have needs to have its original enjine
buy it and prosper

Are you saying this COPO would be worth 280K more with its original engine? That would be 28K to make 280K.

I think at the rate of $.10 to $10.00 would be the ratio of $28,000 to $2.8 Million.

That's *assuming* the car will be sold...if the owner never plans to sell, then the original engine is only *icing* on their COPO cake.

This is also *assuming* the owner bought the car in todays market, and has a tidy sum of expendible cash...what about the guy that was lucky enough to buy a COPO car years and years ago when all folks cared about was that it was a Camaro and no one knew any better? He may just have a few thousand dollars in the car over the years, and now someone is doing him a favor and offering the original engine at tens of thousands of dollars?

(no finger pointing intended, just hypothetical)
