Are you saying this COPO would be worth 280K more with its original engine? That would be 28K to make 280K.

[ QUOTE ] I also think that if someone owns a COPO car they could afford the motor. [/ QUOTE ] This is also *assuming* the owner bought the car in todays market, and has a tidy sum of expendible cash...what about the guy that was lucky enough to buy a COPO car years and years ago when all folks cared about was that it was a Camaro and no one knew any better? He may just have a few thousand dollars in the car over the years, and now someone is doing him a favor and offering the original engine at tens of thousands of dollars? (no finger pointing intended, just hypothetical) |
