I would normally agree, but if you are looking for a car to restore, you are going to need more than a shell and you would care about condition IMO.

I could be wrong. All the fakes out there make me think people are up to no good.

Thanks, I have always wanted a 69 Z28 and that is what I want sitting in my garage. I would love to buy a complete project but in watching the prices I know my finances will only allow a basket case or shell. My best friend is an old school metal fabricator and willing to help me, If I am going to spend hard earned money, a little at a time it will be on a true Z28. No it will never be numbers matching but will be built with original 69 GM metal one piece at a time. 20 years from now it will still be an original Z.

That's exactly what I thought... every once in a while there is a project that comes up... about a year ago there was a dusk blue/blue std int pre X code Z mostly original paint car had the 4 original dated ralleys and all... it sold on ebay for $2500... they are out there... just few and far between... Good Luck!
