$5400 as tested!!

[/ QUOTE ]

In that last picture it looks like the roof stripe is wider than the trunk stripe. Was it, or is just an illusion in the picture?

the trunk stripe and rear panel are both shrunken by the fold in the magazine. (also lost a digit from the license plate)

This just in...

<font color="red">Hi Guys,

I happened to come across the message board regarding my car. I certainly had a senior moment when I wrote the Firebird 400 chapter in my book. That day at Westhampton dragstrip took place in early December 1968. At the track that day, we had my Baldwin-Motion Camaro, the Firebird and also Nunzi's '62 Pontiac Catalina race car. I photographed all three cars that day for articles. My Camaro was stolen in March 1969. So my opening paragraph about my car having just been stolen is obviously in error.

But wait, it gets worse. I also wrote in that paragraph that I was about to get married. I was actually married in 1967, two years before. So when the book came out, I had to explain that error to my wife!

Sorry guys. I always tried to be accurate in my writing but I really messed up in my book's Firebird opening.
