[b] The ultimate Baldwin-Motion car. A '69 SS-427 ZL-1 Camaro.
The only way it could have been better was if it was a 4 speed!
Sadly this car was stolen a couple months after these shots were taken, never to be seen again.

VERY interesting notation that they used Cliff Gromer as driver for the best 11.48 run. Cliff went on to become editor of Musclecars magazine out of Hackensack. I met him at an E-town show in the early '80s when I had my '62 there. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

I can't figure out what car Oldham is talking about in this article. The pictures look like the one he bought new and there are other 1969 articles on it but no mention of ZL1 power in the other articles?
Also no mention of ZL1 power in the recent Oldham book that has an article on what I think is the same car?

Not the first time I have seen this. In some other mags I have it seems that pictures in the articles got mixed in. Like the article on this car titled "Outrageous". In the article one of the pictures is of a 68 dash. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Joel told me he built one '69 ZL-1 Camaro. You're right about the pics. They seem to get recycled in a few articles.
