I have seen many that have drilled and tapped for the bottom plug,easier to change oil in.

661 Muncie cases all have fill and drain plugs so that in itself tells you nothing about what gearset it contains.
I'm not an OLdsmobile guy, but I believe KA was the code used for 1970 Oldsmobile M21 transmission. Maybe an Olds expert will help out more?
