I think that car looks killer and I would rather have it than a 71 Cuda.

That's a great photo but the color looks stomach-turning in person. And a matching brown vinyl top to boot! Ack!

Tawny Gold Metallic is nowhere near as nice as the GM Burnished Brown color. That, at least is a legitimate brown color. This is more of a Guldens Mustard meets the day-after, Chile cook off, bathroom explosion, color.
But hey, that's just one man's opinion.

One of my friends in high school, way back when, had a 72 Road runner that color and it was just horrid up close.

You sure it wasn't the 72 roadrunner that was horrid, not the color? j/k... I DO like that color on that car, sorry. Don't mind me though...I also like fathom green, burnished brown, frost green, ivy gold, gobi beige, and all the other alleged "horrid", "value killing" colors of the chevy's too...

Did someone say Gobi Beige??? It's the coolest color around, this Challenger is a close second - I love the color!

Suppose I'd have to see it in person (see MacGyver's comments above). But, from that photo, I like what I see. Sure it is not a "high impact" color, but I like the stealthy dressed down look to it. I will still stick with my original estimate (all lacking in any kind of knowledgeable foundation )

LOL, but Joe, how good would that color look on one of the (5) 1972 440-6 Road Runners built that year? hell, you could spray those cars with the bottom of a bucket that has water with cigerette butts and we would all take one!

i think the Golds and Browns are finally getting respect in the market. hell, i look at VIN's on mopars every chance i get and it seems every factory gold/brown/light yellow car is now red or blue. the Challenger looks beautiful in the pic. painted steel wheels look terrific!

How can you tell colors by looking at VINs???

While not my first Choice, It does look killer in the pics.

Gold and brown mopars work for me, I should not have gotten rid of this one.

Being stuck with a Ash Gold Camaro for 23 years may have affected my judgement......BUT...Those colors are beautiful! Gotta go with the earth tones.....I look at a lot of GM trim tags and see lots of gold and green...Now red and blue....

I think the car looks great, and i also like the color, ihave a friend that owns a low mile all original 71 4 speed challenger that is orange with orange houndstooth interior 4 speed, he also ordered it new and it shows 14000 on the odometer i believe, i think the 71 challenger is neck and neck with the 71 cuda very COOOOOOOOOOL..
