I really, really like that car! Would love to see how fast it is after chucking that Thermoquad in the nearest dumpster and putting on a 950 Holley.

[/ QUOTE ] Well I'm glad you mentioned that.If I were to chuck the thermoquad into the dumpster in favor of the 950 Holley this motor will make 8 hp less. Jim Weise at TriShield Performance did just that to prove a point.Granted,the snappy,crisp feel isn't as sharp as the Holley,but as far as street manners go this is what the engine seems to like. |

Well, I fooled around with one of those Thermoquads about 20 years ago without success. My friends father was an engineer at Carter here in St. Louis and would bring them home to test on the local hot rods. I do remember it being the LOUDEST carb I've ever heard! I wanna say that I've even seen pictures of Dick Harrell's #1 ZL-1 Camaro with two of them on top of a tunnel ram. Aren't they like 1000CFM?
