Three year total rebuild.Almost everything on the car is new. Totally rust free, new paint,new interior, new wiring, ford 9" rear end with spool, 3.90 gears,and 35 spline axles. New high performance built turbo 400 trans with 4000 stall converter. 464 BBB with all the best parts. 1000 cfm thermoquad,wildcat ported intake with cold water system, ta stage 1 alum heads, sportsman rods,cryogenically frozen block, upgraded valve install with bowl and chamber work, ta timing cover with adjustable pressure regulator, sre alum oil pan,custom curved distributor, romac sfi harmonic balancer, sfi flex plate, ta/srp conicaldish forged pistons, 10.6 to 1 comp (pump gas), competition cams pro-magnum hydraulic lifters, rollmaster billet timing chain set, 5/16 h.d. .080 wall chrome moly pushrods, ta 1.60 rokker rockers, block half filled with hard block, custom grind hydraulic camshaft for this application. Engine made 604 hp and 609 torque. Last time out at Commerce, it ran 10.91 @123.6. It is a very fast street car and has all the NHRA safety equipment to make it legal. Its 3600 lbs with driver .New items recently installed includes. New steel hood w/Postons Stage II scoop,new hood struts,GM roofrail weatherstrip,GM door weatherstrip,NOS sidemarker lights,NOS turnsignal lights,chrome NOS turn signal lever,new sunvisors,etc,etc. I have only touched on some of the big items-there are many small details and some one of a kind items. is a one of a kind BBB Regal. Dave has always had great cars....and this one is a very fast and meticulously detailed show car that runs 10`s all day long. Anyone looking for a great sleeper Big Block Buick

I really, really like that car! Would love to see how fast it is after chucking that Thermoquad in the nearest dumpster and putting on a 950 Holley.

[/ QUOTE ] Well I'm glad you mentioned that.If I were to chuck the thermoquad into the dumpster in favor of the 950 Holley this motor will make 8 hp less. Jim Weise at TriShield Performance did just that to prove a point.Granted,the snappy,crisp feel isn't as sharp as the Holley,but as far as street manners go this is what the engine seems to like. |

Well, I fooled around with one of those Thermoquads about 20 years ago without success. My friends father was an engineer at Carter here in St. Louis and would bring them home to test on the local hot rods. I do remember it being the LOUDEST carb I've ever heard! I wanna say that I've even seen pictures of Dick Harrell's #1 ZL-1 Camaro with two of them on top of a tunnel ram. Aren't they like 1000CFM?
