LOL! Family Tradition is one of the best! I always pictured a build something like this: totally stock resto, throw on a pair of period correct aft mkt wheels, an intake, possibly some valve covers, and maybe headers. A couple vintage decals rounding out the look. Were Sun tachs available in 69? [/ QUOTE ] Yes Sun tachs were available in 1969... They had the SST 709, 801, 802, etc... Mark

I had a Edlebrock C3B which looked alot like a stock Z28 manifold but I traded it. I'd really like to know if anything current from Offy or Weiand was available for the SB back in 69. I like the wheels idea, I had some Ansens and some Appliance SS knockoffs in the 70's with N50 rears, jacked up with hijacker shocks and monoleafs, it rode like a covered wagon. Oh yeah baby!

Someone here suggested old magazines for reference and ideas, which is a great idea, anyone noticed how much they are going for at the swap meets these days! |
