[ QUOTE ]
And,why would a truck block have the hi perf pass cast above the oil filter ? [/ QUOTE ] Keep in mind these are really passenger car blocks in the light truck series and not the tall 'truck blocks' like 366 etc. . Almost any of the Mk1V stuff is worth putting the grab on but sure getting tough to come by anymore...keep an eye out for 'Burbans/Trucks w/ that little 454 badge in the '73&up grilles. . ~ Pete

Yup,for the price(little enough ! ) I couldnt pass, complete and not full of water/rust,seems like any big block is getting hard to find these days. Thanks for the input,as a side note, how do I go about posting pics ? Customer dropped off a car, sitting in grandmas garage since 1979(when grandpa died) kids put a battery in it and drove it down to me.Want to get it tuned up and drivable ! 1967 mustang fastback,390 Auto,A/C with a working 8 track, original paint, interior everything ! I can barely type after drooling alll over this thing.I realize its not a supercar, but to see one drive in at all, seems kinda cool to me.Tried to give them my corvette and take the mustang but NO WAY,not grandpas old car. What a bummer !

Have you deteremined whether yr motor is a 4 bolt or not? Drop the pan or check out the hole configuration by the oil galley.
