well, this don't happen on my car hoses, but it happens every winter to my air compressor hose.
have to clean it every spring with wax & grease remover.

There's no fluid in my smog hose
 It's my own fault for trying to spiff the old hoser with vinylex! I didn't have this problem b4 I swiped the hose, and the other smog hose is fine - I could kick myself, but.... that would only increase the pain

I used to notice my hoses & tires would sweat on certain high humidity days during storage throughout the Fall & Winter,so I soon put a few inches of moisture barrier down on the cement floor directly underneath the entire car.I even put a 11"X 24" wood plank under each tire,and as of yet have not seen anything sweat yet.

 ..I've dealt with repop tires seeming to have some waxy crap building up on them but never sweaty tires and hoses !! Weird ! Maybe because my barn is heated..

I had the same problems with my heater hoses AND the hose from the washer solvent bottle to the wiper motor. And I never treated the hoses with Armorall etc.
