Yeah, I know what you mean Belair...I prefer the look of the bias ply repops, but I want to drive the car a good bit this summer and want it to handle and ride well. I got the Firestone Supreme SI red lines in the 205/75-15 size. A couple of friends have them on their '67's and they seem to look and fit the best.

I don't think it has anything to do with anything other than inferior rubber products. My heater hoses are supplied from the original manufacturer, but my radiator hoses were NAPA, and they were constantly covered with the slime. I NEVER covered ANY rubber in my car with that silicone shinny slimy stuff like Armor-All, or any other product that contained silicone!!! It's simply antifreeze that's leeching through the rubber.
Find a better supplier...............or nos.
