Rick N, I just spoke with Dennis Thomas in Springfield. He reports that Don Stowers NEW home and cars are OK as well as Dennis's own property.
The place you spoke of above with 50's Diner motif, belongs to Kim Shirley, and is undamaged also.
Dennis Thomas does not yet know whose place was on NBC, and will report back if and when he gets info......

i went to the nbc site and found the video tornado story, the guys name is DOUG edwards, after slowing the video ,there is a yellow camaro and couple of mid 70's chevys, 2 firebords or camros late 70's. ,dont know how many he owned or if they were super cars, but you can watch for yourself,
yeah it is a fire bird collection, it looks like plus a couple others

All is well in Chatham, Illinois the storm missed us by several miles. Unfortunately Judi and I were in a restaurant in Springfield when it hit. We were about two city blocks away from one of the areas that suffered major destruction. Judi's ears were ringing and popping due to the sudden drop in barometric pressure and you could see the windows in the restaurant bowing in and out. Really scary, but all is well.
Don't know Doug Edwards or his cars and haven't talked with anyone that does. Looked his address up and he lives in one of the hardest hit areas.

Welcome back stranger! Glad to hear you both escaped any damage or injuries.

You sent me the new address and phone numbers but I "Filed them away in a safe place", and can't retrieve them yet........ (different system at home!)

Glad to hear you two made it out ok as that was too close! I understand the hotel I stayed at suffered severe damage as well as the restaurant and the Wal-Mart next door.

Wow! Thanks for the link Don. What a mess! I think the next time Chad and I stay at the Fairfield we need to keep the partying to a minimum. I knew we made a mess but that is crazy. Very scary and too d*mn close for all you Springfield people! Glad everyone is alright.
