[ QUOTE ]
Wilma, The engine is in a 67 El Camino, 4 sp with A.I.R. still attached. By the way, I am a not so old phone guy myself..(14 years @ Bell/verizon) Thanks. Dan [/ QUOTE ] This thread is taking me back a couple of years..the guy I got that 67 SS396 from bought it from the original owner, they both worked for Quest??? I think. The guy had 2 57 Chevys, a couple of Harley's and the Chevelle. Oh yeh , and his wife banging him on the head to sell, because the phone stock was in the tank. Anyway..this stamping is exactly like that Femont 67 with A.I.R. that I had. Wish I didn't sell it.. ![]() wilma ![]()

Assembly stamp is on the correct (left) side under the plug as it should be. The assembly stamp looks correct.

I think someone trying to counterfiet a stamping would have done it a lot neater than the assembly plants did..
Not all plants used a gang holder for the VIN derivitive. |
