A hair like crack in the lifter valley would be about like having a hairlike crack in your head if you bought it.

Bad news. A CE block is a replacment motor and did not come from the factory in a Z-28 either. I would be very carefull with that one.

Don't touch it unless it's free, even the crank is suspect being cut 20/20.
