I can't find anything on my car that color. Not below nor above nor inside. Yes.....my car has been repainted, but not everywhere. It has a Jan. 1970 date and it's a Nova.

ktown, was your car originally white? Others can correct me if I'm wrong on this, but I don't believe Ruddy Red was ever used on white cars.

No, my car was never white. It is Gobi Beige with Sandalwood interior, as per the trim tag and I guess it's on the POP.....have not looked. My camera and the sunlight made that photo "wash out". Maybe I just need to dig a little deeper to find the primer, but it's certainly not anywhere inside the car.
Maybe I have a super-rare-non-ruddy-primer-Nova........hehehe.... ktownkid ![]()

1970 Camaros built at Norwood, OH were primed with the "RED". Los Angeles 1970 Camaros were primed "BLACK"
I'll attach pics of the 5000 mile ORIGINAL Black 1970 Z, which I believe is currently owned by Marty W...... Chuck Sharin

ktownkid;
My Jan 1970 Gobi Beige Nova used the red primer. I thought the under side was gray so I bought gray paint. After I scrubbed the underside I saw tons of red. One place to look (might have told you this already) was under in the rear wheels near the quater lip. Take a plastic scub brush and water based degrease to clean it up.
