Rudy Red Primer
One of the many interesting things we noticed on TommyK's new deuce is that it has Rudy Red primer! This is a first for the Yenko Deuce Novas, and was quite a shock to us after we pulled the back seat to remove the broadcast sheet. Normally, Rudy Red primer is found on early cars, which makes this even more unusual. Other 06A cars have the normal black primer, will post a pic when I can.

Re: Rudy Red Primer
I've seen Red Oxide primer on Arlington Tx. built Chevelles.
Besides Willow Run,have you seen it used on anyother plants/cars? |
Re: Rudy Red Primer
I have really only researched the Novas, specifically only those produced at Willow Run, MI. So, I can't really say what other plants may have used. Anyone else? (Sully or Gregg?)

Re: Rudy Red Primer
What the hell is Rudy Red primer ???

Re: Rudy Red Primer
Leeds Chevelles also used it quite heavily though they did not leave much exposed. The trunk area is where it was mostly visable. The Van Nuys cars also showed a lot in the rear gas tank area.
Belair, in answer to your question, it is a little more lavender/maroon than red oxide primer. |

I can't find anything on my car that color. Not below nor above nor inside. Yes.....my car has been repainted, but not everywhere. It has a Jan. 1970 date and it's a Nova.
