Using the Federal Reserve's Consumer Price Index calculator that $797.00 L-72 equals $4557.69 in 2004 dollars.

Using that calculator, $36-38,000 for a ZL-1 is still a bargain in 2004! Aaaahhhhhh, to have been born 2 decades sooner! Having been born in January 1969, I never had much of a chance. By the time I had a decent income, the cars were out of reach.
