Several years ago I saw a pair of shields that you put behind the wheel and in front of the disc brakes. The shield prevented the brake dust from getting to the wheel. Look like a great idea, but I did not worry about brake dust on my truck at the time. I saw them at PEP boys.
brb Ok did a search on "Disc Brake shields" and found this Disc Brake Dust Shields Anyone ever try them? Greg

I've used the disc brake dust shields for years. They work great at preventing the dust on the exterior of the wheels. You will still have the dust on the interior of the wheel but you won't be able to see it.
I currently have them installed on my wife's BMW (all four wheels), my daily driver VW Beetle (all four wheels) and my Ford truck (all four wheels). Wheel cleanup is much easier with the shields.
