Part of this car's great history is documented in the original Super Stock magazine article.

Bill Jenkins, Ed Hedrick, Dave Strickler, and Jere Stahl were at York with the car and helped with the drag test.

They adjusted the timing and valve lash, installed spring clamps, and slicks, and Jere Stahl installed a 6in header collector extension when they opened the headers. (Stahl Engineering was a top header manufacturer.)

There was a lot of drag racing talent there to oversee the tuning and driving
