I worked there the summer of 1985 and washed this car a few times.........great to know it is still around and looks great. I always loved Lapis Blue and didn't realize it was so unique. Like Bill - great memories for me as a 15 year old kid in a shop like that. I am fortunate to still be friends with some of the people I worked with there all those years ago.

I remember that car very well!!
Anytime I see a super rare car that went through Classic Motors, it reminds me of how incredibly lucky we were to be around all this bad assery.( Grand Sport 001, LS6 Chevelle Converts, AMG, Ultra low mile muscle cars and Corvettes, etc.
That shop had a tremendous impact on us as kids growing up.

Cool, too darn, Jake! I dropped by as a wishful customer when the green 2900 mile LS-6 was in the showroom (surrounded by 'vettes) - Bill kindly showed me his mint Silver L-78 Camaro (7k miles?) parked in the shop. Attended their auction at the O'Hare Expo Center w/blue 4k mile L-78 Nova and red '64 Goat - recalled 4k miles on this one also but found out maybe a few more via Stretch at MCACN (another good dude!). That car ended up in C'dale w/Jim L. (as with your '62!). Awesome photog Dave Newhardt worked on 'Vettes, etc. for Jim at the time, btw.

Missed the AMG era, but lived above Morton's for a while around that time and would see one or another in the garage from time to time and wondered if possibly Richard's, but likely those of your customers, if not. Can imagine it must have been a blast!
